Hurby J. “Hubby” Oubre entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Ruth Roussell Oubre. Father of Elise Oubre Martin, Bryan, Percy, Vanessa and Hurby Oubre. Grandfather of Steven Martin Jr., Eric, Erica, Breanna and Jacque Oubre. Great grandfather of Sean, Amari and Austin Oubre. Brother of Regina Octave, Virgie Woods, Paul Frank, John, Patrick, Huey and Richard Oubre. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Florian and Theresa P. Oubre, step mother, Christine Oubre and 9 siblings.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd., NOLA on Saturday, November 15, 2014 for 10:00 am. Interment is in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Vacherie, LA. Visitation begins at 8:30 am.
