Obituary for Howard Irving

Howard Irving Jr., age 86, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Mr. Irving was born in Greensburg, LA to the late Howard Sr. and Ophelia M. Irving. He was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck & Company for over 30 years and a supervisor for Mackie Services. He was also a pass member of the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club. He leaves to cherish precious memories his beloved wife Helen Delay Irving; Beloved children, Lorraine (Charles Sr.) Breaud, Lafayette (Martha), Helen (Bruce), Howard (Eva), Brenda (Tyrone), Beverly (Pete), Hollis Kent (Ann), Bonnie (Bruce) and Ruth Ann; Two sisters, Lillie Mae (Anthony) and Dorothy (Lloyd). Proud grandfather of 38 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Howard was also preceded in death by one brother; Oliver (Ruth), two sisters Darnella (Pete) and Fannie (John). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raymond/St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue at 10 AM on Saturday, May 13. Internment Pipkin Chapel, Greensburg, LA.
