Obituary for Aaron Washington

Mr. Aaron Washington, an outstanding New Orleans musician entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Ochsner Baptist Medical Center. Aaron was born on August 13, 1934 in New Orleans, LA to Walter L. Washington, Sr. and Annie Beasley Washington. Aaron graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dillard University. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force as Airman Second Class. Aaron was also a member of the local AFM musician's union (174-496).He played alongside William Houston, Jr., Kid Johnson and Wendell Eugene to name a few and toured many countries with various jazz ensembles. Loving uncle of Antoinette Washington Marks (Kevin, Sr.) and Damon Washington. Loving great uncle of Kevin and Kyle Marks, AlexAndrea, Kristie and Tanner Washington. Loving godfather of Kelsie Johnson. Also survived by his devoted friend, Shirley Chandler; dear cousin, Rita Hubbard; sister in law, Aloma Eugene Washington as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aaron is preceded in death by his brother, Walter Washington, Jr. Relatives and friends; Pastor, Officers and members of The Asia Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration of Life honoring Aaron will be held at The Asia Baptist Church, 1400 Sere Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10 AM. Interment Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 9 AM IN THE CHURCH.
