John Henry Lightfoot entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the age of 76. He leaves to cherish his memory, children: Avis Lightfoot-White; John Henry Lightfoot, Jr.; Maurice Lightfoot; Mary Knott Carter (Brian); Zetonio and Zemond Lightfoot; stepchildren: Valerie Lacy; Jonathan Anderson; Zerell and Zacapa Walker; a devoted caretaker Jessie Merritt Jr.; beloved companion Carletta Walker; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one godchild Jonathan Hammond of Los Angeles, California; and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Foster Lightfoot, Sr. and Mary Mack Lightfoot. The Celebration of Life service honoring Mr. John Henry Lightfoot on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 12 P.M., at Saint Michael Baptist Church, 315 James Street Kenner, Louisiana, 70062. Visitation begins at 11 A.M. Interment, Loving Charity Cemetery, Kenner, Louisiana.
