Obituary for George Michael Allen Sr.

George Michael Allen Sr.
George Michael Allen, Sr was born in New Orleans, LA on August 26, 1970 to the late George Lee and Oja Marie Allen in Jefferson Louisiana. Michael died of Congestive Heart Failure at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston TX on January 24, 2018. Michael also known as "Big Mike" for his big personality big heart and his big mouth. You knew he was in the house even before you saw him. He was full of life and the life of the party; enjoyed cooking, he had his start cooking & burning fries for his twin brother and sister for dinner. He loved to entertain, he never meets a stranger. Every year he looked forward to the cousin party and he couldn't wait for Mardi Gras Season and all his cousin followed him and the food. Michael was a great man who loved his family and friends and he will be truly missed. There will never be another like him, when the lord made him, he broke the mold. He loved the Lord and was a member of New Foundation for Life Full Gospel Baptist Church where he was loved by the Pastor, Co- Pastor and all the members. Michael loved first and foremost his best friend, wife, Rib and soulmate, Delecisha Allen for 18 years. He also loved and leaves to cherish his memory; his children: Donivon Holland, Nakeyia White, Ladasmine Allen, Michael Kendrick, George Michael Allen Jr, and Braxton Amos. Grandchildren: Don 'Asia Holland, Joi Holland, Jaslyn, Hazel Amiyah Ruth. Mother: Oja Marie Pate Allen, Brother: Brian Corey Allen (Sarina Allen), Sister: Alisha A. Traywick and Cabrina Allen (Cousin) Nieces: Amirah Traywick, Aja Allen and Nylah Charles, Nephew: Theron Traywick and Larnell Lemon III. Mother-in-Law: Alece W. Charles (Ronald Charles), Sisters-in-law: Baley Charles, Ronnisha Charles, Brother-in-law: Corey R Woods. He was preceded in death by his father: George Lee Allen and Grandson: George Michael Allen III and a host of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. "'After glow' I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that i leave when life is done."
