Jessie Tate Varnado entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the age of 96. She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers Troby Tate (Gonzales, LA) and Ollie Tate (Columbus, GA). Beloved grandmother of Tania Thompson (Franklinton, LA), Allison Varnado Joseph, Michelle Jones, Jerrylyn Williams (New Orleans, LA), Kim Miller and Angela Jones ( Houston, TX.) Twenty-four great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Lattimore and Flora Tate; two sons Jimmy and Jerry Tate; three brothers Leo, John and Doyal Tate. Survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 10:00 AM, Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St., NOLA in the Chapel of Roses. Visitation begins at 8:00 AM. Interment Winan United Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklinton, LA.
