Isaac Raymond Gillard entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the ate of 96. He was a member of the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II and worked as a U. S. Mail carrier for thirty-four years. He was the son of Mrs. Victoria Edwards Gray and Mr. Raymond Gillard. Devoted companion of 45 years Miriam Bechet. Children Elmore, Gwendolyn Bechet. Step-father of Joseph Turner. Father of Gerard Gillard, Kevin Gillard. Father-in-law of Regina Steward, Vickie Gillard and Ann Gillard. Brother of Joanna Gray Hughes and Eula Soule. Preceded in death by his wives Dorothy Mallone and Oradine Jarreau, sons Curtis Bechet, Drexel and Neville Gillard, two sisters Selina Gray Joichin and Verlie Gray Major. Also survived by a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his entire family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM, Corpus Christi Catholic Church 2022 St. Bernard Ave. NOLA. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Interment St. Louis #3 Cemetery, NOLA
