Obituary for Almon James "Kitch" Kitchell

Almon James "Kitch"  Kitchell
Almon J. Kitchell, affectionately known as "Kitch", transitioned into eternal peace on Sunday, April 22, 2018. A graduate of Xavier University's College of Pharmacy, Kitch worked as a registered pharmacist in several retail locations, ultimately retiring as a hospital pharmacist in January, 2011. He was a long time resident of New Orleans. Kitch leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Cynthia S. Kitchell, a beloved daughter, Francesca A. Kitchell and a treasured grandson, Odysseuss Hightower. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marion B. Smith, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Q. B. and Rosie Mae Kitchell, a sister Georgette Griffin, a brother Eric Kitchell, and his maternal grandmother Eva Donaldson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Christian Burial Mass on Friday April 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip St., New Orleans, LA. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Fr. J. Asare-Dankwah will officiate. Interment St. Louis #3 Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
