Herbert Francis Schnyder Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2018, at the age of 70. Herbert was a 1967 graduate of St. Augustine High School. Herbert leaves to cherish his memory his beloved and devoted wife, of 49 years Carolyn Winston Schnyder; two sons, Herbert F. Schnyder Jr. and Jamie K. Schnyder. He was the grandfather of Madison Massey. He is also survived by one brother, Anthony Schnyder (Carolyn); three sisters, Gwendolyn Bouler, Rose Mathieu and Charlene Legaux (Joseph); sisters-in-law, Julie LaFrance (Esmy) and Brenda Hammond; two brothers-in-law, W.T. Winston and Wilson Morton (Linda); and a a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Herbert was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Schnyder and mother Edna (Porche') Sorapuru; stepfather Albert Sorapuru; brothers, Dennis C. Schnyder Sr., Milton J. Schnyder (Mary) and Huey R. Sorapuru; father-in-law, Leo Winston Sr. and mother-in-law, Viola Ware Winston; his two sisters-in-law, Margaret Ventress Schnyder and Dr. Reina Heron Sorapuru; brothers-in-law, Lambert Mathieu Jr., Julius Bouler and Leo Winston Jr. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA, on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00 A.M.
