Derek Skylark Turner, a retired driver of Nycombed Amersham, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age 58. A New Orleans native and graduate of St. Augustine High School, Derek was the son of Jerome and the late Florence (Turner) Tyler. Derek was the father of Brandy E. Vaughn (Joseph), Derek Q. Turner, Sr. and stepfather to Eric Pepp,Sr. (Rashonda), Lenora Robertson ( John), Melika and Selika Pepp. He is also survived by one brother: Archie Tyler (Tina), two grandsons, Derek Q. Turner, Jr. and Daelon Q. Turner, in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace, 780 LA Hwy 44, Reserve, LA on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Visitation begins at 8:15 AM. Father Christopher Amadi, officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
