Cephus Peavy, a native of Salipta, Alabama. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at age 87. He was a resident of New Orleans and a long-time member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church who moved to Hammond, LA. Mr. Peavy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Dorothy Handy Peavy; his daughters Cassandra Peavy Beckham, Shelia Claiborne, Cynthia Claiborne DeJean, Jacqueline Claiborne Browder, and Pastor Rev. Donna L. Claiborne Butler. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA, 70117.
