Barbara Mora Edgerson entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November, 24,2018 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Walter Mora and Edwin Galle (Pearl Johnson Mora and Eward Mora), brother Regis Menzies and Edward Mora, Jr., husband Louis A. Edgerson, Sr., son Gregory Michael Edgerson (Odeal) and Godson Regis Menzies, Jr. Barbara was educated in public and parochial schools of New Orleans. She was an employee of Zales and Aucoin Hart Jewelers where she retired. Barbara had a devotion to the Blessed Mother and the St. Jude Novena.She had a way of making you feel comfortable whether she had known you for years or only a short time. She leaves to cherish her legacy of service to others especially to her only daughter Susan Ann, two sons Louis Anthony (Jackie) and Sean Joseph Edgerson (Tammy). Sister Sylvia Washington, sister-in-law Agatha Menzies, eleven grandchildren , six great grandchildren and one Godson with a host of nieces, nephews , cousins and other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the JenCare Senior Medical Center staff of S. Carrollton. Relatives and friends Southern Univeristy at New Orleans and the School of Social work, Coca-Cola Refreshments, and Paul Prudhomme Seasoning Blends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 2022 St. Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Visitation begins at 8:30 AM. Recitation of The Rosary at 8:45 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
