Obituary for Jacquelyn Shields

Jacquelyn Shields, 66, born April 30, 1952 in New Orleans, LA departed this earth for her heavenly home on Monday, November 19, 2018. She leaves a beautiful legacy in her loving and devoted children, David Shields (Crystal), Krystal and Jonathan Shields, one grand daughter Jara Shields, siblings, Maxine Henry, Shelia Stewart and Wayne Quinn (Carolyn) and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Mack and Alyne Quinn, her sister Clarice Quinn, brother-in-law Eugene Henry and nephew Matthew Stewart. After 36 years she retired from the Stat of Louisiana as the First African American Regional Nurse Manager in Region One. She was a member of First Grace United Methodist Church pastored by Rev. Shawn Moses Anglim. Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of First Grace United Methodist Church and Ebenezer Baptist Church and Louisiana Office of Public Health Region One are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at First Grace United Methodist Church, 3401 Canal St., New Orleans, LA. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
