Obituary for Larks A Charley Jr.

Charley A. Larks, Jr. departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the age of 76. Charley was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 23, 1941. He was the eldest of 7 siblings. Charley attended Orleans Parish Public School. He was a roofer and welder. Charley was preceded in death by his father Charles Larks, Sr. his mother Ida Mae James, stepmother, Cora Lee Green Larks and 2 of his brothers, Joseph Larks and Edward Donald. Charley Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, loving and devoted wife Jeanne Honore' Cordier Larks. Children: Gary Sr. (Sonya) Larks, Tracy Larks-Adams, Keila (Don, Jr.) Bell, Gina and Leon II Cordier, Terrance and Eboni Honore'. His mother-in-law; Mary T. Honore'. 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Brothers: Harry(Leslie) Larks and Alfred (Marie) Larks. Sisters: Jacqueline D. Sellers, and Alvera Larks Baker. Brother-in-laws: James (Nona) Honore', and Paul Wayne Honore'. Sister-in-law, Tanya (Michel) Sterling. A long life time close and devoted friend Hubert Hankston. His legacy will continue to live through a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at Charbonnet Family Services, New Orleans East, 9200 I-10 Service Road, New Orleans, LA 70127. Visitation begins at 8:00 AM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
