Obituary for Alvin Lucien Garibaldi

Alvin Lucien Garibaldi entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 65. He was a life- long resident of New Orleans, LA and was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin Garibaldi, Sr and Marie Brule Garibaldi along with three siblings, Augustin, Agnes and Alfreda. Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Leslie Robinson Garibaldi. He leaves behind six children, Christopher (Chantelle), Kelly, Veronica (Gregory Jr.), Brad (Ashly), Philip (Jennifer) and Michael (Ansley); ten grandchildren, Matthew, Melanie, Leia, Nicholas, Gregory III, Ava, Jayce, Peyton, Logan and Blair. Also survived by five siblings, Arnold (Lynne), Amadee (Betty), Antoine (Carol), Debra (Alphonse) and Chris; an aunt , along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial honoring his life at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 1230 S. Carrollton Avenue on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 11 AM, Father Hebert J. Kiff, Celebrant. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 10 AM IN THE CHURCH. Immediately following interment, a repast will be held at Corpus Christi Epiphany Community Resource Center. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Augustine High School, 2600 A P Tureaud Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119 in memory of Mr. Garibaldi.
