Obituary for Claudia Harper (Barnes)

After a valiant fight with Leukemia, Claudia Barnes Harper entered into eternal rest at the age of 71. She was eldest of three children from the union of the late Sawyer Fabian and Cleaster Jones Barnes. Claudia attended Southern University at New Orleans and then entered the work force as an accountant. She worked for the State of Louisiana for 27 years before retirement. She held positions at Delgado Community College and New Orleans Regional Vo-Tech. She was also long-standing member of the Silhouette's and Unique Social and Pleasure Clubs. She leaves to mourn her sister Myra Barnes Johnson and brother Keith Fabian Barnes. Her two children Sean (Kimberly) Barnes and Farrah (Quentin) Jones. Five grandchildren Brandon, Romalis, Quenisha, Carli and Gabby. Her niece/god daughter Tanya (Sean) Joseph. Great nieces Kalen, Alexis, and Lauren; great nephew Marcus. Also, a host of other family and friends. Family and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 4700 Pineda Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70126, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation begins at 9:00 A.M. Interment, Private.
