Wayne B. Howard, 71, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. Wayne was born on December 16, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Henry J. Howard Sr. and the late Muriel Fleming. He graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School in 1965; served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War; and, upon his return, graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 1976. He married Sharon Gayden Howard, his high school sweetheart in 1970. Preceded in death by his brothers Henry Jr., Michael, and Bernell Howard; and nephew Christopher M. Howard. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon G. Howard; his daughters Kelley H. Rouse (Strutha) and Krystal H Henry (Norbert); grandchildren Sydney, Sanai, Nicholas, and Madison; brothers Rene (Anita), Glen (Catrice), and August Howard; and a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Christain Burial Mass at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, La. 70116 on Monday, May 07, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Visitation begins at 8:30 AM Fr. Francis Uzochukwu Offia officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet, New Orleans, LA.
