Ruth M, Gayden peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday,, May 27, 2018 at the age of 90. Ruth was born in McComb, MS to the late Slyvester Johnson and Martha Lewis Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband Samuel L. Gayden, devoted daughter Sharon G. Howard, loving granddaughters Kelley H. Rouse (Strutha) and Krystal H. Henry (Norbert), her adorning great grandchildren Sydney, Sanai, Nicholas and Madison. She was preceded in death by her caring son-in-law, Wayne G. Howard; one brother and four sisters. She was the last survivor of six siblings. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Historic haven Trinity United Methodist Church 1238 Joilet St., New Orleans, LA. at 10:00 Am. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Pastor Charles E. Washington will officiate. Interment Providence Memorial Park, Metaire, LA.
