Sam
Mr. Samuel Curtis, Jr., known as "Sam" entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in his home at the age of 88. He was born on May 29, 1930 in Monticello, Mississippi to the late Mrs. Hattie W. and Mr. Samuel Curtis, Sr. Mr. Sam was in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He worked as a longshoreman for 27 years where he retired. He loved helping people in any way possible and always said he didn't want their money in return just pray and show him love and their money was counterfeit. Mr. Sam is survived by his brother, R. L. Curtis of Chicago, Illinois, four daughters, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great children, four great great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews and longtime friends. His family and friends will greatly miss him but he will always remain in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life honoring Mr. "Sam" Curtis on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., at Charbonnet Family Services, 9200 I-10 Service Road, New Orleans, LA 70127.
