Obituary for Tynikia Maria James

Tynikia M. James affectionately known as (Teedy), went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the age of 40. Teedy is preceded in death by her father Charles Lemon, grandfather Edward James Sr., grandmother Thelma James, aunt LeEster Lange and uncles Edward James Jr., Ignatius (Nicky) James. Tynikia leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother Ava M. James, fathers William Cheatham and John Spoon Griffin, brother Dimetrius White Jr. (Kiona), nephew Dimetrius White, nieces Dymon and Kiara White, aunts Gwen Dumas and Rita M. James, cousins Lisa James Brown, Jade Brown, Jimmie Slacks III, Karen James Ruffins, Kaylin Ruffins, Donna, Mia, Maria, Kim Dumas and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family along with employees of Tulane Hospital, Norfolk Southern Railroad, United States Postal Service and Sherwin Williams are invited to attend a Celebration of Life honoring Tynikia on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St, New Orleans, LA 70116 Visitation 8:00 a.m. Interment will be private. NO CHILDREN.
